About The Vancouver Doctor Who Meetup Group

Welcome to the Vancouver Doctor Who Meetup Group. A group for fans of the BBC series Doctor Who. This includes fans of the new series and fans of the original series. Get together, discuss the show, and other events related. So if you're a fan of the old black and white show of the 1960's, or a new fan who started watching the show in 2006, all are welcome!


As fans of Doctor Who are also fans of other things in the sci fi and fantasy realm, it might be fun for you to check out the other groups around as well as ours.

Here on Meetup, there are the Vancouver Firefly/Serenity Meetup Group, Fancouver: Vancouver Science Fiction and Fantasy Fans Meetup, The 13th Colony - Vancouver's Battlestar Galactica Fan Club, and the Vancouver Anime Meetup Group, which you might want to check out.

You will probably also want to know about VCON, the local Science Fiction, Fantasy, and Gaming convention, the British Columbia Science Fiction Association, which has been around since the 1970's, and BIFF: Burrard Inlet Fan Fellowship, which meets in North Vancouver every Friday night.

There are also several mailing lists for local groups of sci fi fans, including the lists for BC Costumers, BCSFA, Canadian Browncoats, Monster Attack Team - Canada, and the UBC Science Fiction Society Alumni.
